Riverbank AAP

Abstract

The City of Riverbank requested, and the Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA) granted on behalf of the Department of Defense, recognition as the implementation Local Reuse Authority (LRA) on March 10, 2009. The LRA currently has an Executive Director and its own small staff managing the reuse effort on-site at the former Riverbank AAP. The LRA reuse planning efforts focused on supporting economic development and workforce adjustment efforts, and creating a successful and market-feasible reuse plan. OEA grant funds are employed to support the LRA staff and to contract for legal, engineering, and feasibility work to support site redevelopment and the eventual transfer from the Army to the City.
