Guam Civilian Water and Wastewater Improvements - Interceptor Sewer

Abstract

Impacts to the GWA?s potable water and wastewater systems from the proposed military relocation discussed in the SEIS were reviewed and a list of projects to mitigate those impacts was prepared. Those potential projects necessary to support the relocation of Marine Corps forces to Guam were screened against the EAC criterion according to the EAC Implementation Plan 2015. The projects deemed qualified are the three Guam civilian water and wastewater projects, which were found to be necessary due to impacts from the proposed relocation of Marine Corps forces to Guam. The GWA Interceptor Sewer Refurbishment project consists of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation for the existing sewer lines from AAFB to the NDWWTP and include manhole rehabilitation as necessary. This is required to maintain wastewater collection services to AAFB and other military facilities; and to mitigate impacts to wastewater utilities and groundwater resources.
