Abstract

While MILRA has been successful up to this stage in base redevelopment activities, there are still major MILRA objectives that need to occur in order for the community to realize a successful base redevelopment. But for OEA assistance, the MILRA would not be able to carry out the activities outlined in this application. MILRA maintains that the following objectives during the next 12 months include: 1. Execution of remaining acres of Phase 2 property conveyance to MILRA (Summer 2017) 2. Conduct follow up studies to Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) study to enable implementation. (Fall 2016). 3. Conduct infrastructure and building needs assessment studies to facilitate lease and development transactions (ongoing). 4. Deliver road infrastructure as required in tri-party agreement with Tyler Perry Studios and US Department of Veterans Affairs (Year End 2016). 5. Activate existing housing and office units through leasing (Fall 2016). 6. Seek additional grants from US Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and other sources to initiate Workforce Development projects (Fall 2016). 7. Maintain currency with financial accounting and annual audits (ongoing). 8. Adopted a Procurement Policy that complies with applicable State and local laws and regulations, and applicable Federal laws and regulations (January 2016).
