State of New York (DD)

Abstract

This grant will support the analysis, planning, and market outreach needed to understand and serve the defense supply chain in New York. The funds will support new staff posted in key regions who will be able to reach companies throughout New York State?s vast and economically diverse geography. New York State will use this funding for diversification assistance to manufacturers and to promising early stage companies whose innovative technologies and products are initially focused on defense markets. The project leverages the New York MEP network as an advisory, championing, and service delivery network. This project will benefit DOD and national security by making its contractors in New York State (at all supply chain tiers) more resilient to spending fluctuations. The project will increase the long-term capabilities of NYSTAR and key partners to reach defense suppliers and deliver diversification services that will benefit the DOD by making these companies more resilient to defense department spending fluctuations.
