Cherry Point MCAS (JLUS)
Abstract
The purpose of this grant is to carry out three of the recommended tasks from the May 2016 MCAS Cherry Point JLUS to include the following: (1) Update to the Town of Bogue zoning ordinanc; (2) Building and placing information signs around MCALF Bogue that will reinforce public water access restrictions along the Neuse River, the Pamlico Sound, Bogue Sound, and Core Sound, BT9 and BT11; and (3) conducting public meeting regarding sound attenuation. These actions are expected to be completed by the end of the proposed grant period resulting in products that support compatible use around MCALC Bogue, BT-9, and BT-11. These tasks are expected begin July 7, 2017 and be completed by June 2018.
