Kings Bay NSB 2 (JLUS)

Abstract

The City of St. Marys, following Camden County, Georgia s, completion of a July 2014 NSB Kings Bay Joint Land Use Study, will complete a market analysis to identify an optimal mix of land uses for the former 283-acre St. Marys Airport that is compatible with continued operations, functions, and missions at NSB Kings Bay. Compatibility will be determined as civilian activities conforming with the restrictive use easement the City of St. Marys granted to the United States under the Fiscal Year 2017 National Defense Authorization Act, Public Law 114-328. The effort will yield: a detailed market analysis; proposed zoning and other potential development ordinances; and, a general concept development plan. This grant enables the City of St. Marys to further support the mission of NSB Kings Bay, and preserve the maximum operational utility of the installation.
