Port Authority of Guam Transition / Sustainment

Abstract

The grant will sustain the continuity and momentum on the current set of Port Modernization Program initiatives, which enhance the Port of Guam’s resiliency, reliability, and responsiveness to both organic and DoD transshipment cargo demands. In addition, the grant will ensure the seamless transference of current institutional knowledge to the next Port management team, as management, under a new Government of Guam administration, transitions later in 2018. The grant enhances a seamless transition, which is paramount to operational effectiveness of the port; ensures the investments made to date are soundly sustained; and sustains the Port’s investment in the Port Modernization Program, via the Capital Improvement Program Bond. The grant ensures the strategic importance of Guam and sustains the military s operational effectiveness and mission readiness, in an ever evolving and dynamic geopolitical environment.
