State of Florida - Aerospace & Defense Resilience
Abstract
Under this grant the State of Florida will provide the state’s defense manufacturing community with a web-based, one-stop data research and collaboration platform. This project is intended to increase market opportunities for small and medium-sized Aerospace and Defense firms and improve their strength and resiliency to avoid the adverse effects of Department of Defense budget fluctuations. This initial effort is intended to set the stage for the state to preserve existing defense manufacturing firms and manufacturing skill sets within the region. This should contribute to both the economic stability of the regional economy as well as provide value to the Department of Defense by maintaining and expanding existing defense manufacturing capacity.
