JBSA Regional JLUS Study
Abstract
On behalf of the local city and county governments, as well as other key stakeholders in the region, the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) requests OEA technical and financial assistance in order to complete a compatible use study for Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) and a Comprehensive Plan for Kelly Field. These efforts will support the National Defense Strategy by enhancing regional civilian partnerships with JBSA as we seek to develop reasonable and consistent strategies to support compatible land use that mitigates and/or prevents encroachment at JBSA. Further, the creation of a comprehensive plan for Kelly Field will enhance the operational relationship between the Air Force and the Port Authority of San Antonio with regards to aviation operations.
