Hill AFB (JLUS)

Abstract

The purpose of this grant is to obtain assistance for the development of a Compatible Use study to help protect Hill AFB and the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR) and ensure the sustainability of the training and operational mission. The final study will include recommended implementation strategies for both the civilian community and military installation to address any threats and concerns affecting the region. This effort will address the seven (7) primary goals with a specific focus on land use, transportation, airspace, infrastructure, security, economic development, and the environment. This comprehensive analysis will ensure the future compatibility between land and air uses necessary to support the military mission at Hill AFB and non-military development near the base. This effort will include all surrounding jurisdictions, stakeholders, Hill AFB, and UTTR.
