State of Maryland - Supply Chain Resiliency Phase 2
Abstract
This Defense Cyber security Assistance Program (DCAP) will assist Maryland firms required to comply with DFARS 252.204-7012 as a part of their contract with the Department of Defense to protect against possible contract loss in the face of procurement uncertainties following the Budget Control Act of 2011. The program will provide outreach and technical assistance to businesses who work in the Department of Defense supply chain and need to meet the DOD cyber security standards. The program will provide four (4) educational workshops on the DFARS statute and the NIST 800-171 guidelines, will assess 30 companies for compliance with the DFARS statute, and provide technical assistance and mitigation to 20 companies to resolve issues identified during their cyber security assessment. This program was set up by the State of MD and is administered by the Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership. This program will ensure that the resiliency of the manufacturing supply chain for the Department of Defense.
