Fort Huachuca

Abstract

This OEA grant enables Fort Huachuca and their local stakeholders the opportunity to identify joint resource utilization of land, airspace, and electromagnetic spectrum. The study area encompasses the Buffalo Soldier Electronic Test Range and associated military restricted airspace managed by Libby Army Airfield. Overall planning process will identify conflicts between the ongoing and future military mission with local stakeholders. Ultimately the outcomes from the study will ensure the protection of key Fort Huachuca missions into the future while ensuring civilian interests are considered. The updated study will provide action items for the military and local/state governments to ensure the continued compatible uses of vital resources in Southern Arizona.
