NSY Portsmouth Phase 2
Abstract
As Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PSNY) expands its workforce, more workers must navigate limited access to the base, causing significant traffic and safety challenges for the Town of Kittery and PNSY commuters.The Town of Kittery is partnering with PSNY to implement recommendations from the Joint Land Use Study. In particular, the goals of this phase are to help manage the flow of workers to and from the shipyard, coordinate to improve and expand the variety of housing options within an easy commute of the base or with easy access to transit, and improve communications between PSNY, the town and other regional stakeholders.
