Dover AFB - CU - Grant 1

Abstract

The Dove Air Force Base Compatible Use Study is a community-driven, cooperative, strategic planning process among the Dover Air Force Base (DAFB), Kent County, the Dover/Kent County Metropolitan Planning Organization, the City of Dover and other affected municipalities and the State of Delaware. The study will promote community development that is compatible with military training and operational missions and seek ways to reduce operational impacts on adjacent lands. As a result of the work accomplished from this proposed Compatible Use Study, local governments and the State will work closely with the Dover AFB to implement measures that prevent the introduction of incompatible civilian development that may impair the continued operational utility of military installation, and to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of those living near Dover AFB.
