Fort Irwin NTC - Silver Valley USD Sports Complex
Abstract
The Grant enables the Silver Valley Unified School District to renovate / repair the Silver Valley Unified School District Sports Complex, which directly contributes to enhancing the quality of life to the local communities, inclusive of Fort Irwin and Marine Corps Logistics Base, Barstow. SVUSD serves approximately 2,167 students. Approximately seventy-six percent (75.7%) are military-connected. Renovation of the Silver Valley Unified School District Sports Complex addresses the Tier I Military Quality of Life factor, outlined in the Office of Economic Adjustment Defense Community Infrastructure Pilot Project Final Federal Funding Opportunity.
