Fort Drum - Family YMCA Community and Aquatics Center
Abstract
The Grant enables the Jefferson County Industrial Development Agency to construct a new Watertown Family YMCA Community and Aquatics Center, which directly contributes to enhancing the quality of life to the local communities, inclusive of Fort Drum. In the Fort Drum community-integrated healthcare and education model; there are no schools or hospitals on Fort Drum; 100% of Fort Drum families and children use community provided services. Construction of a new Watertown Family YMCA Community and Aquatics Center addresses the Tier I Military Quality of Life factor, outlined in the Office of Economic Adjustment Defense Community Infrastructure Pilot Project Final Federal Funding Opportunity.
