State of Maryland - Supply Chain Resiliency Phase 3
Abstract
The Defense Cybersecurity Assistance Program (DCAP) will assist Maryland firms required to comply with DFARS 252.204-7012 as a part of their contract with the Department of Defense to protect against cybersecurity threats and upcoming CMMC certification requirements. The program will provide outreach to and identification of businesses who work in the Department of Defense supply chain and need to meet the DOD cyber security standards. The program will provide five (5) educational workshops on the DFARS statute and the NIST 800-171 guidelines, will assess 50 companies for compliance with the DFARS statute, and provide technical assistance and mitigation to 40 companies to resolve issues identified during their cybersecurity assessment. This program is a continuation of a program that began 3 years ago. This program was set up by the State of MD and is administered by the Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership. This program will ensure that the resiliency of the manufacturing supply chain for the Department of Defense.
