JBSA CU Grant 4
Abstract
Through this grant the Alamo Area Council of Governments proposes to implement recommended strategies and tools identified by the 2020 Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Regional Compatible Use Plan (RCUP). Specifically, to fill gaps in zoning protections identified by the RCUP; to develop tools to enable more efficient and effective compatible development coordination between Joint Base San Antonio s 4 military installations, Martindale Army Airfield, 4 counties, and 28 surrounding municipal jurisdictions; to address dark sky compliance and promote public awareness; to address future unmanned aerial systems (UAS) adaptation implications to mission sustainment; to promote the imperative to sustain JBSA military mission and its economic impact through measurable communications strategy; and to push compatible use collaboration into the 21st Century.
