Nellis AFB CU Implementation
Abstract
Clark County is continuing its exploration of proactively identifying and resolving encroachment issues affecting the Nellis Complex. The county is pursuing implementation activities related to the issues and strategies from the Nellis Complex Compatible Use Plan to enhance and address the following subject areas: formalize partner communication and coordination, the creation or update and adoption of land use standards to limit future incompatible uses, revised development review processes for affecting projects, encouraging coordination in energy development siting, addressing drone operations in local communities, clarifying noise and safety zones and appropriate development types within them, and analyzing potential vertical obstruction conflicts with military operations and community development.
