Little Rock AFB - CU Implementation Grant 2b
Abstract
With the leadership of the City of Jacksonville Compatible Use Study Implementation team, the collaboration of local governments and counties, and the State of Arkansas, as well as the continuing partnership with Little Rock Air Force Base commanders and key personnel, the necessary expertise will be available to determine how to best implement the key recommendations from the Compatible Use Study completed in January 2021. The implementation project plan for the Compatible Use Study (CUS) Recommendations takes place over an 18-month period and will consist of the application of 9 objectives drawn from the Final Report of the Study. The achievement of these 9 objectives will address the highest priority recommendations of the Compatible Use Study. These recommendations respond to the mission, safety and economic development factors of the installation and the individual communities. A plan for implementation will be refined working with contracted consultants, the Implementation Committee consisting of major players from the jurisdictions involved in the Compatible Use Study and also an Executive Committee consisting of leadership from the cities, counties, and Little Rock Air Force Base. Deliverables have been identified in this design which, when implemented, will respond to current needs as well as focus on plans for the future.
