MCB Hawaii - Installation Resilience

Abstract

Marine Corps Base Hawaii relies on the City and County of Honolulu and the surrounding communities for various infrastructure, services, and personnel. This reliance creates risk to the installation’s ability to complete mission-essential functions should there be disruptions. This Military Installation Resiliency Review is studying the various infrastructure, and services to ultimately increase the resiliency and sustainability to the communities surrounding the installation. Such an analysis will be able to provide guidance on which assets will offer the greatest cost benefit decision support to improve. By increasing the resiliency of the surrounding communities, the resiliency of the military installation is simultaneously benefitted and improves the ability of the installation to complete mission-essential functions and to continue operability into the foreseeable future.
