Abstract
"The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada is conducting a transportation study to analyze existing and projected traffic conditions in response to existing and anticipated population and industrial growth in area surrounding and supporting Nellis AFB. The study recommends improvements in the area surrounding Nellis AFB that • Address both operational and capacity improvements • Address current and future traffic and land developments • Maximize the safe and efficient movement of vehicular traffic • Provide better amenities and facilities to promote alternate modes of transportation within the area • Expand transit service to increase transportation options for Nellis AFB community residents This transportation study recommends projects, transportation services, travel demand management opportunities, and regional policies, which are prioritized through an implementation plan and have a direct benefit to Nellis AFB and the surrounding communities."
