Richmond ES Design and Construction - NAWS China Lake
Abstract
The Sierra Sands Unified School District is proposing the replacement of Richmond Elementary School, a 55K square foot campus originally built in 1951 that is in critical need of repair or replacement. Richmond ES is located on the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, CA. The school serves 448 students who are children of military, civilian, and contractors who work at NAWS and members of the adjacent communities of Ridgecrest and Inyokern, CA. The proposed 77K square foot replacement school will benefit 505 students and will support enhanced programs, including STEAM. The Richmond Elementary School Replacement Project addresses the quality-of-life needs at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, CA.
