Umatilla CD Redevelopment 2023
Abstract
The Columbia Development Authority is receiving technical and financial support for the continued planning and redevelopment of the Umatilla Army Depot, located in Umatilla and Morrow counties in Eastern Oregon. The grant is for operational support and consulting services associated with the following: - Legal assistance related to the partition of 4,019 acres and transactional agreements in order to transfer this parcel, as well as legal services related to the development of the site. - Planning assistance for transportation infrastructure that will provide access to properties, parking lot and kiosk design at the southern Oregon Trail area per the Programmatic Agreement, and expert input on projects for development of the property. This grant advances the Columbia Development Authority s ability to complete the master planning for 9,511.37 acres of the Depot at the onset of local control for economic development of the site, and the partition of the 4,019 acres to be transferred to the Confederation Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.
