Pueblo Area Defense Diversification

Abstract

This grant will allow Pueblo Depot Activity Development Authority (PDADA) to conduct outreach and community engagement activities, including public relations efforts and support of stakeholder and workforce communications, with the goal of retaining a majority of the 2,000 employees connected to the chemical demilitarization mission. The completion of the demilitarization mission will have a massive impact on the local economy if these skilled workers are not appropriately captured, retrained, and transitioned into equivalent economic opportunities within the community.
