Department of Hawaiian Home Lands DCIP FY23
Abstract
The State of Hawaii Department of Hawaiian Home Lands will undertake a project to construct an emergency operations facility along with the required road work and utility work. The project supports the Pohakuloa Training Area by enhancing the Army’s life-saving mission and readiness training by providing the infrastructure necessary to increase the capacity for Army personnel, first responders, and community members to maximize resources and coordination when responding to emergency situations. The installation and surrounding areas on the Island of Hawaii are prone to wildfires, earthquakes, hurricanes, and volcanic eruptions.
