Abstract
This project integrates critical military resilience concerns into the strategies, plans, and investments of surrounding municipalities to foster, protect, and create a resilient future that considers the unique contributions of Central Florida s APAFR. With collaboration from key stakeholders, the Project Team will produce a Military Installation Resilience Review (MIRR) and Implementation Action Plan to enhance readiness and response to both natural and man-made hazards. This 18-month regional effort will leverage cutting-edge local and national expertise to identify and incorporate military resilience needs and fully integrate those needs into regional resilience planning. Relying on a scenario-based approach to stakeholder engagement and developing a framework for understanding the capabilities and responsibilities of key stakeholders will ensure that the DoD has the information and strategies it needs to increase the adaptive capacity of APAFR. This project will be led by the CFRPC, building upon our strong relationships with Range personnel, Military Commanders, municipal and county governments, economic development organizations, APAFR Sentinel Landscape partners, and the State of Florida.
