Abstract
The recipient will apply these funds to undertake enhancements to local infrastructure to support local military value, installation resiliency, and/or family quality of life. The aim of this project is to build a taxiway that leads to an aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility. This facility is used by Naval Air Station Whiting Field. By constructing this taxiway, the installation will be able to reduce aviation downtime and eliminate the need to move military aircraft over civilian roadways. This will maximize the installation s military training time and minimize the costs associated with transporting vehicles needing maintenance.
