Chesterton ES / NB Point Loma PSMI
Abstract
This project will replace the existing facilities at Chesterton Elementary School located at Naval Base Point Loma under the Public Schools on Military Installations Program (PSMI). The buildings, interior spaces, square footages, the playgrounds, and site improvements are being designed based on the San Diego Unified School District s Elementary School Educational Specifications, Design Guides and applicable standards. The project is similar to other schools in the District that have recently undergone whole-site modernizations. The project will incorporate District standard design features including shade structures, security fencing, and collaborative spaces. The school will be provided with standard multimedia technology systems including a wireless network, interactive displays, portable audio systems, document cameras and teacher’s presentation tables and stools.
