Single-electron Sensitive Liquid Xenon Detector for Reactor Antineutrino Monitoring

Abstract

This proposal intends to develop a compact (less than 100-kg) liquid xenon detector to monitor the flux of reactor antineutrinos via coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS). The change of flux can be used to determine the changes in composition of the reactor core to learn whether the reactor material is being used in an illegitimate way.
