Abstract

This capability will provide the unit leader a validated toolkit of operationally relevant physical fitness assessments that can supplement clinical criteria to determine whether a Soldier can return to duty after musculoskeletal injury without the risk of re-injury. The cited work is fully coordinated with Natick Soldier Research Development (NSRDEC), Natick, MA and with other Services in order to avoid duplication of effort. The cited work is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense (Research and Engineering) science and technology focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy. All FY20 adjustments align program resources to Army Modernization Priorities in support of the National Defense Strategy. Work in this Project is performed by: the U.S. Army Medical Research Materiel Command (USAMRMC), Fort Detrick, MD.
