CYBER: Evaluation of Compiler Induced Vulnerabilities

Abstract

ABSTRACT In this work, the intent is to examine the software compilation process to see if security vulnerabilities can be inadvertently introduced into the software. Various compilers will be examined along with commonly used code constructs. In addition, compiler optimization settings will be studied for the likelihood of vulnerability generation. The result of this effort will be a final report.
