22nd International Symposium on Mathematical Programming

Abstract

This funding will support for the 22nd International Symposium on Mathematical Programming, which is one of the premier international conferences on mathematical programming, or optimization. Objective The 22nd ISMP take place July 12-17, 2015 in the Wyndham Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh. An initial web site for the conference is available at www.ismp2015.org. Content will be added to the site as time progresses. Approach The International Symposium on Mathematical Programming is organized every three years by the Mathematical Optimization Society (MOS, formerly Mathematical Programming Society). The ISMP meeting is the central activity of the society and the last symposium which was last held in Berlin 2012 attracted about 2,000 participants. MOS publishes prominents research journals in optimization (Mathematical Programming (Series A), Mathematical Programming Computation) and organizes the IPCO (Integer Programming and Combinatorial Optimization) conference in years where the ISMP is not held. IPCO is one of the highest profile conference on combinatorial optimization whose proceedings are published in the Springer LNCS series. MOS also publishes the MOS/SIAM Series on optimization jointly with the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). The series covers the entire field of optimization and includes research monographs, textbooks, books on applications, and tutorials. In addition, MOS is a full member of ICIAM (International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics). It has strong relations with other applied mathematical societies such as INFORMS, SIAM, and EURO.
