Investigations of the Utility of Phase Information in X-band Array MABL Propagation Measurements

Abstract

Abstract: The expansion fund is to be used to design and manufacture two ultra wideband antennas capable of spanning 2-40 GHz to be used with the UWB propagation measurement subsystem that currently being constructed as a part of Dr. Yardim’s DURIP grant project Lower Atmosphere Propagation (LATPROP) measurement system. This system will be used to measure propagation loss under non-standard atmospheric conditions in marine environments. The antennas will provide low side lobe and high gain. The fund will be used to help construct and deploy LATPROP at the Coupled Air-Sea Processes and EM Ducting Research (CASPER) East/West Coast experiments.
