Conference Proposal: The Second International Conference on Bioinspired and Zwitterionic Materials

Abstract

This proposal is to request funds to support the Second International Conference on Bioinspired and Zwitterionic Materials in Seattle on August 12-14, 2015. This conference is a continuation of the first one in China in 2014. The meeting targets 100-120 participants. In recent years, zwitterionic materials have been extensively studied and applied to a wide range of engineering and biomedical/life science applications for biofouling control. Since this is an emerging field and grows quickly with broad applications and great impacts, it is important to have a platform for people working within and outside this emerging field to exchange information, infuse new ideas into this field, and impact other fields.
