Monsoon Variability in the Arabian Sea from Global HYCOM simulations

Abstract

It is proposed to use statistical analyses of HYCOM to understand how remote and local forcings impact the timing of the spring inter-monsoonal switch in the direction of the Somali Current (SC) and the appearance of the Great Whirl, along the western boundary of the Somali and Oman Coasts.
