Detection of Weak Magnetic Signals in Noisy Environment

Abstract

A specific goal of our proposed work is designing a methodology to identify and detect weak magnetic signal embedded in noisy data. Our proposed methodology will be based on three nonlinear identification mechanisms: (a) resonant amplification of narrow frequency band signals (designing a resonator for incoming weak signal), (b) broad frequency band deterioration (decay) of the entire signal data besides a narrow frequency band where signal is expected to appear, and (c) designing a (biologically inspired) nonlinear processor (possibly similar to reservoir computing concept) that will be capable of identifying and characterizing a weak signal embedded in noisy data.
