Large-Scale Magneto-Stress Analysis of Complex Structures

Abstract

In particular, this effort will further development of the Magström/Stress3D software through 1) enabling Magström transient, non-linear solver to utilize the MLSSM-LOGOS fast-direct solver library, 2) continuing to validate of Magström’s transient, non-linear solver against larger, more complex structures, 3) investigating and implementing alternative formulations to improve accuracy, reduce computational complexity, and mitigate solution instabilities with regard to analysis of non-linear, magnetostrictive and conducting materials, 4) enhancing MLSSMLOGOS library with algorithms to improve error control, reduce fill time, and improve system conditioning, and 5) continuing to transition of software to NSWCCD.
