Sparse Morphological Time Frequency Processing for Target Detection and Clutter Suppression

Abstract

The proposed project aims to develop new signal processing techniques for the detection and analysis of targets in the undersea environment. The project focuses on the clutter-dominated case-for which target detection is especially challenging. The project seeks to develop nonlinear methods for time-frequency analysis based on the optimization of non-differentiable sparsity-inducing objective functions.
