Field Assisted Sintering of Titanates and Related Materials

Abstract

This expansion proposal continues work on the previously identified scope of the project, and adds the following two tasks: i. Conduct flash sinter forging experiments to study how strain in the flash state influences not only the stress-strain behavior but also the grain evolution, and ii. Continue experiments at the synchrotron to see if field induced phases can be seen in barium titanate.
