Carbon Nanotube Synthesis

Abstract

Abstract The goal of this proposal is to controllably produce strong, conductive, high quality long carbon nanotubes in a high rate manufacturing method. The long nanotubes can be used to produce strong nanotube fiber and sheet or have other uses in the powder form. The gas phase pyrolysis method to grow nanotubes will be modified in this project by use of multi-fields to gain better control over the synthesis process.
