Modeling Acoustic Propagation in Littoral and Surf-Zone Regions
Abstract
Abstract This proposal describes a research effort by faculty of the Catholic University of America (CUA) and East Carolina University (ECU) that will develop a mid-range atmospheric sound propagation model for littoral environments. This model is intended to be used for predicting the detectability of Naval platforms by on-shore receivers. This proposal consists of a critical preliminary step to fully understand the requirements for developing this platform.
