Snow on Sea Ice Workshop-An Icy Meeting of the Minds: Modelers & Measureres

Abstract

To conduct a 3 day workshop in Barrow that will focus on snow on sea ice and modeling snow-ice interactions. It will be attended by 12-15 people and will be both inside and out on the ice, the latter so modelers have a chance to experience and see the ice and snow. The goal of the workshop is to promote more seamless and better integration between measurements and modeling, thereby improving our predictive capabilities for sea ice.
