Pacific Polymer Conference-14 (PPC-14)

Abstract

Abstract: The Pacific Polymer Conference-14 (PPC-14) aims to bring together polymer scientists, technologists, academics and industry from around the world to reflect upon the current status and future directions of polymer science for the marine and aerospace environments. In addition it is hoped that this conference will foster greater networking and interactions among colleagues from around the world. The PPC-14 Conference aims to continue this tradition by developing a symposium titled – “Specialty Polymer Coatings for Marine and Aerospace Environments.” This symposium will be scheduled for December 11-12, 2015 covering 1.5 days (three sessions) with 25 slots for oral presentations. This symposium will allow for the dissemination of the latest breakthroughs in polymer science for marine and aerospace applications and keeps the tradition of highlighting developments from the Pacific Rim countries. The symposium features internationally recognized speakers in the fields of polymer science (organic-polymer synthesis and coatings application/formulation) with expertise in anti-fouling/foul-release, anti-fogging, deicing and anti-corrosion. The symposium is now complete with all invited speakers having accepted our invitations. This proposal makes a request for funding to support conference registration for 10 invited speakers. This symposium will take place during December 9-13, 2015 at the Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa, Kauai, Hawaii, United States.
