Hemispherical time-resolved backscattered and attenuation profiling of undisturbed particle fields.

Abstract

The main research goals and objectives are to characterize the degree by which LiDAR backscatter and attenuation measurements are geometry dependent by collecting measurements in different orientations within undisturbed water. Compare LiDAR attenuation and backscattering measurements with smaller scale measurements from other open path instruments (MASCOT and HOLOCAM) deployed concurrently and in the same and alternate orientation geometries.
