Self-replicating DNA Nanostructures

Abstract

The proposed effort has three specific aims: 1. Design and construct complex DNA origami nanostructures that are folded from a solitary, long, single-strand of DNA without short staple DNA strands so that the DNA nanostructures are accessible to DNA polymerases and can be cloned into plasmids for in vivo replication. 2. Develop methods to clone or replicate the structures. 3. Develop strategies to evolve functional replicable DNA nanostructures.
