Abstract

ABSTRACT Conference Organizing Committee: Michael Ohadi (UMD, College Park), Martin Cerza (US Naval Academy), Arun Muley (Boeing Company); Hal Strumpf (Honeywell Aerospace); Frederick Claus (Stratasys Direct Manufacturing); Tim Held (Echogen) The objectives of this by Invitation Only workshop are to exchange information on the current status of world developments in Innovative Design, Materials, and Manufacturing for next generation heat/mass exchangers. This workshop will identify recent advancements, critical challenges, and new opportunities for applications involving power production, waste heat recovery, and thermal energy storage. This will result in an integrated view of the impact of most recent research and development efforts to better allow researchers, program managers, and application engineers to coordinate work and establish a critical path for technology development. Enrollment will be kept to maximum of 50 participants to facilitate discussions and close interaction. There will be networking and exchange of information opportunities during coffee breaks and lunch time.
