Enhancing AFLOW Visualization Using Jmol
Abstract
We propose five interrelated subprojects that would enhance the visualization aspects of AFLOWi and also have significant impact beyond AFLOW. These projects would be carried out by a group of four undergraduates at St. Olaf College supervised by Prof. Hanson. They will be based primarily at St. Olaf, but will also visit Duke twice during the year for an initial orientation to become familiar with the AFLOW Project and to develop strong connections with ongoing projects in the Curtarolo group, and a later group meeting in the spring of 2016. Funding is requested for salary and benefits for St. Olaf personnel, travel by St. Olaf personnel to Duke for two collaborator meetings, travel to one conference.
