Discovery of Sound in the Sea
Abstract
The Discovery of Sound in the Sea (DOSITS) advisory panel synthesizes research in the area of underwater sound and its effects on marine life. Under this grant, original content (website, Ibook, etc.) specifically designed for stakeholders and decision makers will be created by DOSITS panel members and edited through a peer-review process. Specific topics of recent concern to the ocean environmental community (e.g. acoustic effects on salmon/sturgeon, changes in NOAA criteria for effects of sound of marine life) will be addressed.
