THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF N00014-14-1-0762 Analysis and Algorithm Development for Sparse Approximation in Computed

Abstract

This project develops a spline model for sparse approximation in the context of computed tomography problems. Radon transform is fundamental to many sensing and imaging technologies and tomographic reconstruction algorithms are widely used, for inversion of Radon transform, in such applications. This project explores the principles of compressed sensing for the analysis of sparse approximation in the context of tomographic reconstruction. This sparse formulation leads to development of novel algorithms for computed tomography that provide accurate reconstruction from incomplete data.
